Basic phone, not the worst but a little far away from the best... Good material quality, user-friendly, but old fashion design...
I have just been offered a Nokia C6 on a new contract and have been using it for 2 weeks now. Having used a Nokia N73 for about 5 years I was reluctant to change but I think the C6 is as good as and more. The reason I went for this particular handset was becuase it has the keypad as well as being touchscreen, I didnt want to make the jump from my N73 which is keypad only straight to a touchscreen only. Most of the Apps I had on my N73 dont seem to work because the C6 runs a newer version of the symbian operating system but I have been able to download the newer versions of the Apps I had, so all good there. The home screen is very functional and customizable as well. Mine came with several apps including Shazam which recognises music and then gives you the title and artist etc. One of the apps I had on my N73 was TomTom satnav which I had to have a seperate bluetooth gps receiver as well but the C6 has Nokia Maps installed, the map for most of the world are free to download from what I can see and the phone has a gps receiver built in. (not sure if its free to use Nokia maps, I need to ring my network to check on that) Bad points: The microphone has stopped working once, I just turned the phone off then back on again and it hasnt done it again. The slider on the side of the phone which locks the screen is awkward to use, and finally the software is slow which is the same as my N73 was, so if you are use to Nokia's then its not a problem. Overall: I use my phone mainly for the camera, apps and the calender as well as some calls and txt and it all works exactly the same as my old N73 apart from there is no cover over the camera lens. I think this is an excellent upgrade. My old N73 had a very suspect cable connection but this has been improved vastly with the C6 using a mini usb and it has an ordinary mini headphone jack. Although I wanted a keypad I have found the touch screen very easy to use even with my fat fingers! Battery life whilst using the phone has been about 2 1/2 days. I would recommend this phone.Read full review
A very nice phone, in excellent condition, packaging and neatly in the box. Very stylish handset in a lovely colour. Looks very appealing and not very big to carry around.
