Bought this product as i was going on holiday to the Caribbean, so really wanted to record it. As it wasn't new, the battery is low and requires charging after about 30 mins recording. The sound is pretty low even when up full and there was no instruction booklet. Still trying to figure it out. All in all , pretty average.
Hello there I bought my video camera of eBay and have had quite a bit of fun with it already it took a bit of getting used to but now it is coupled up to my Apple computer everything is working great, wish I had got one months ago Thank you eBay for allowing me to get into the world of videoing
the camera itself if great, it has a fantastic zoom, good battery life and exellent picture quality. still pictures however are not so good. the really annoying and in my oppinion very bad point of this and most other jvc camcorders is that they use mod format for recording. this makes it almost impossible to create dvds through ur pc.
I'd been looking for a new HDD/flash memory camcorder for a few weeks and this one I'd had discussions with a guy in store at currys, amongst others. I actually got a great deal on the 330 at eBay, £130 brand new, can't argue with that can you. As at 30/12/2008 they are still varying in price on the high street from £199 -£225. So I've got to be happy. The camcorder itself is very light and so easy to use. You don't really need the instruction manaul, open the LCD sceen and your good to go..point and shoot. This model is the entry level everio and the only dissapointing thing for me was there is no DV out for connection to a DVD recorder. However not so much a problem as I've tried the sofware for computer copying to DVD and it took no time at all. The disk played on my DVD player no problems at all. There is also a SDHC memory card slot which can accept up to 8Gb cards. I've purchased one on eBay for £12, get a good quality card for best results of video. My Panasonic DMR EX77 has a memory card slot so I'm also hoping I can slot it in and record straight from the card, not tried this yet.The video footage is very good bearing in mind this is not an High Def cam. This is purley designed for the family user market if a professional camera is required there are more comprehensive units to choose from but in all honestly I'm very happy with this model. its so light and small you can carry/take it anywhere. My wife is a technophobe but she loves the ease of use..and is confident in its use. Something I was advised to consider before purchase; HDD camcorders obviously have moving parts and once damaged are done, flash memory camacorders have no moving parts thus are more robust from damage, just need to buy the cards. Just a thought! Having said that I love this little camcorder and do not hesitate recommending it to others...Read full review
