A great little radio. Easy to use, the sound is clear and pleasant for the size of speaker but don't expect much bass. Good features like the built in clock alarm, snooze and sleep timers. Battery is quoted as being able to run the radio for 8-12 hours. I tested it from a full charge, playing dab radio constantly on a medium volume and it was still playing after 15 hours. When you register the warranty on Majority website they offer you a free 3 year warranty upgrade. For the price it's a great little radio and Majority seem a very good customer service oriented company.

Don't switch the lights off, and then try to set the snooze feature to go to sleep. I cannot think of a more convoluted way to get the radio to switch itself off. And saving an FM station in preset catches me out. But hey, it is only technology! Still the body casing feels nice to the touch, and it is not expensive. The DAB scanned radio station, Radio 5, that I listen to, is often lost from all the captured scanned stations; so I am forced to do full scans frequently. Less often, the radio loses functionality, such as on / off, that can only be restored by resetting the power-off switch at the back.

Excellent reception at both FM and DAB. I got 70 DAB channels, but when comparing the sound of say, BBC R2 at FM and at DAB, well, the DAB sound lacks clarity and sound level is 30% lower than FM. I don't know if this is because of the radio or because of the DAB bitrate being lower than 128. Then again, even Classic FM at 128 sounds poor comparing to an mp3 audio played from my computer, at 128. The radio is lightweight, and the built-in rechargeable battery is a plus, lasting around 8-12 hours. Again, I haven't tested the battery life yet, I hope it lasts the same 8-12 hours whether the reception is FM or DAB. I would love to have a treble adjustment. As I said, almost loveable radio. I love the fact it has been designed in Cambridge. Support our own people.

I bought this to entertain me while I do my gardening job. last one I had was poor reception. this one used today for first time is excellent reception. I even got gold which the old one could not find. sound good for outside and volume perfect. worked all day about 7 hours and still plenty of power left in batteries. charges fast, and cleaned down after work well. very happy with. Just two issues with radio but only in the instructions. It says press next or prev to change station on dab. but you need to press enter as well. Also they don't tell you that the charging light is red when charging and turns blue when charged. small bug and does not knock the usage A good around radio and small enough to carry in your coat pocket perfect for workshop or work.

This is a good looking lightweight radio. However it has the same problems as other receivers in my area. When I set it up I was looking forward to getting radio two without relying on satellite or computers. It picked up one station, the Aisian network, which to be fair one could hear but understood very little. I would suggest that this may well be very good in a strong signal area but here in mid Wales it unfortunately wasn't suitable because of the lack of signal quality. This in no way, as far as I can tell, the fault of the radio as so many people in my area suffer similar problems.
