Purchased on "Which" recommendation and several bad experiences with other makes. First ball Dyson I have purchased which took some getting used to, but once accustomed to it, manoeuverability is a doddle and makes the cleaner less cumbersome. Super long lead, although a pain to wind up, means the whole of downstairs can be reached from one socket. The large waste bin means frequent emptying is not necessary. Changing from brush mode (carpets) to non-brush mode (hard floors) requires only the push of a button within easy reach. Extra strong suction is possible by moving a switch on the brush head, but it is so good at creating a seal between the hard floor and the brush head that I could barely move the cleaner!! Not so keen on the joint dust/crevice attachment since I think the earlier circular separate dust brush was better, but I can understand Dyson's reasons (space saving). Doesn't feel as solid as earlier models, but I've had it for over 12 months and it's holding up well.Read full review
