"Solid Construction and appears it will last!"
Solid Construction. Quieter than the last one replaced, and the original before that! You will hear the ball bearing on the high velocity blenders like the CBT-500 as always, but construction does appear more solid and deal was superb. If you own one of these blenders, you know they are noisy. That said, that are extremely powerful. The part fit perfectly and shows no leaking. I tested it upon arrival. The metal construction of this particular replacement part under the rotating blade appears to add durability. Time and use is the test. The standard type purchased finally failed after about two years prior to this replacement. When, I started blending smoothies and having it crunch through ice or remain on for some time, that was the beginning of the end of the ball bearing in ... Solid Construction. Time is tell whether or not metal is of quality
The product design is a good replica of the original product that broke except the metal blade does not look like stainless steel or is a lesser quality as is the hardware. Time will tell if it chips, breaks or rusts. If it turns out to be good then will be a good value for money.

Fits perfectly
Old unit leaked through the main shaft, the blades were still sharp. This replacement fit perfectly. I did have a problem getting the main gasket to keep bending into the vase causing a leak. I tried using less pressure (tightening the base to the vase) and was finally able to stop the leak. It does feel like it is not tight enough and may even loosen with the vibration of the unit. If it does start to leak, I've saved the old gasket and will reuse it. The new gasket is very pliable. This may be why it slips. I know that the old one may be stiffer because it is old. More of the same junk!
If you plan on crushing ice in your blender think again. I thought this one might hold up with the stainless collar under the blades, but after my wife made 4 batches of iced coffee the side split out. After the second batch the seal shot out and was blended into the iced coffee. I took it apart and found a well made bronze bushing and all stainless shaft. The plastic housing just won't hold up. I am making a new housing out of stainless steel and plan on using the bushing and other parts, out of this one, to make a bullet proof one.If you plan on crushing ice in your blender think again. the blades were so dull
This is the 3rd-4th set of blades (the blender wont die, the blade base cracks) I use it to blend smoothies and these blades just whip. It didn't even chop up a banana. I had to sharpen the blades and they seem like soft metal so they will lose their sharpness fast. I would spend the extra $2-$3 and get better ones
