I like the way in which the radio, when used as the alarm, starts off quietly, and gradually increases volume. Also the ability to choose the alarm just for weekdays. It is good value when bought like mine for about half the normal price, purely because the box had been opened.

Appearance acceptable and alarm facilities good but let down by a poor quality display. Add this to an inability to receive normal BBC stations on DAB and it adds up to a poor product that in my opinion is unfit for purpose. I have had an excellent Roberts FM radio for over 10 years, and expect better quality products from this brand. Already replaced it.

Arrived early. It set itself up as soon as I plugged in in and switched on. The orange display is good and clear, so I can read it at night without my glasses. Some people have said the flush buttons give them a problem, personally I find them fine (I must admit I have a bit of light from a steet light coming in and I don't have blackout curtains), snooze button longest and right in front. I aslo prefer being woken by the radio, quiet at first gradually getting louder, for me there's nothing worse than being woken up suddenly. The sound is excellent, the alarms are easy to set up, I am used to switching the radio on to use the alarm settings from my old dab radio alarm, and also from another dab radio we have. It was described as ex display, and the box was described as tatty. When it arrived, the box seemed fine and the unit itself was like a brand new unopened one. This was a bargain,I would thoroughly recommend it.Read full review

1 The sound quality is very good. 2 It is a nice compact unit 3 Setting the alarm and tuning in the pre set stations is complicated. 4 The symbols on the buttons are hard to see. 5 The radio alarm has a nice feature. It starts at a low volume and slowly increases. But you can not change the final volume, which is quite loud.

All buttons on the top of the radio are smooth and, to the touch in the dark, are indistinguishable from each other. It would be more useful if the individual buttons (especially the radio on button) had some form of surface sculpturing or dimpling so that they were individually distinguishable by touch.
