However, I tried it with courgettes /sweet potatoes and onion. I used the slice for the onion and I was pleased - I will never slice onions again with a knife - its great. Sweet Potatoes? they came out like small slices - which is OK for stir fries etc. Courgettes? some of it spiralled and some just sliced. But I think with time I will get more used to it and - Yes I will use it.

Happily received my spiralizer and it was working fine halfway through a courgette when I heard three clatters, one after the other, and then the turning handle was no longer attached. Turns out three small screws had fallen out the bottom, and no wonder because they are actually too short to be able to join the two pieces of plastic together, thereby securing the handle. Luckily my husband was on hand and fixed the problem by attaching three new, longer screws, and now itβs secure and works fine. I know itβs not an expensive item, but would expect it not to literally fall to pieces on first use. Iβm happy with it now itβs usable, will probably use it mostly for the ribbon blade as the other attachments make zoodles which are a bit too skinny for my liking. Not difficult to wash which is a plusRead full review

So with the slicer blade already inserted when it arrived I immediately tested an apple. Started off fine but started to clog and wouldn't go any further after about 80% of the fruit. Still the slices came out fine, Will be good for veggie and fruit crisps. But... I really bought it for the noodle/spaghetti attachment. Trying to get the attachments out was a bit of a nightmare. You have to kind of push and the back and pull at the top at the same time whilst trying not to shred your hand! Overall it does the job but the changing of the plates is a major design flaw.

For: The spiraliser opens up a whole new way to eat vegetables. Raw courgettes (zuchinis) and raw beetroot suddenly become much more palettable and interesting. It stimulates new serving ideas such as spiralised courgette in cheese sauce, a gluten free alternative to spaghetti. Easy to use, sticks to the worktop like glue yet easy to remove. Easy to clean. Against: Bulky and difficult to store. Some waste of the ends of vegetables unles you complete the job with a knife.

Tried a couple of the hand held ones previously until I saw this at a mate's house...it's definitely the best one I've ever used. Easy to use and easy to clean, love it! And spiralize literally everything π
