The first fan I bought got me through this extremely hot summer. I bought another one for my husband. They are the perfect size to sit on a desk in front of a window and bring in the cool air from the shady side of the house. They are quiet and have a setting that will fit any desktop environment. So quiet that they don't keep you awake with a blade chopping through the air. I'm sure that some more Dyson fans are in my future. The remote is self explanatory so that you don't need to read a manual every time you use it. The timer is a huge plus for those nights that cool off when you don't need air movement all night.
