Bought to replace buggy D-Link DSL-2500/BRU/D Annex A. Also, I need extended functions (DDNS) provided by OpenWRT. WiFi not needed for now. Very outdated native firmware. DSL works perfectly under OpenWRT Backfire 10.03.1. Not tested under other versions. No way to test Annex M (Not supported by provider). WiFi support for this chipset is work in progress, WEP-only, so beware (not tested but at least it sees my other AP) Needs a hardware cooling mod (radiator on processor chip, loss of warranty). 100% reliable after this mod. OpenWRT believed to support IPv6. Comparisons: DSL-504T is similar (except WiFi) but somehow needs jffs2 (bug?), all other variants supporting OpenWRT (Buffalos for instance) are too expensive. Cheap closed-source devices have no extended functions.
