I bought it because I had read because Garmin is the best of the best. But I was not satisfied with the map NT Europe. I'm with the latest map but most of the streets in my city are missing. Even 50 kilometres highway which was opened five years ago is missing. So I had to buy additional map on my country (Bulgaria). In conclusion the NT EUROPE map might be excellent about the Western European countries but in Eastern Europe it's useless. Otherwise the GPS is cool. It's easy to use, simple and with the right map it's perfect gadget for journeys. Also there are a lot of additional maps about Garmin GPS' so I think that this is the best choice in spite of poor basic map.
The 255 model in the US is 3.5 inch; but this was only 3 inch;. Better than the sat nav in my car. This will get you to 10 ft of your destination. Volume control good for driving with the windows open. Normally only need 50%. Never got lost once driving with one in the US. Also got me out of trouble when the car sat nav left me in an industrial estate here in the UK. The Garmin took me to the shop. Much better than Tom Tom, had one of those both here and in the US they get you lost and try to redirect you the whole route until you arrive. Only used it twice and this happened both times. Never had this with the Garmin.
used it the day i received it. absoulutely brilliant. so easy to use-even i can understand it! recalculates if you take a wrong turning, speed camera/restriction alerts, changes colour when it gets dark. i feel so happy that its simple to use and confident that ill never get lost again! highly recommended.
Nice little sat nav easy to use. Doesn't have Bluetooth or jack plug port but overall good value for money.
