Very easy to use and clean. Excellent non-stick surfaces.. However my original toaster failed after 2 years regular use. It overheated with smoke. Taking it apart, the plastic moulding holding the indicator neons had melted. I couldn't do without it so bought another and saved money by having a refurbished item. Apart from the packaging, it is as new and functioning perfectly.

I bought this unit to replace a sandwich toaster, which sealed the bread at the edges, and diagonally. However, over time, the non-stick coating has worn off. This new machine is perfect because it has 2 flat non- stick plates that cook what you place between them, and the non-stick coating should not be affected. Do NOT try to lock the plates together whilst the unit is in use; the locking mechanism is ONLY for use during storage. The unit is compact, easy to use and easy to clean. It fits 2 slices of bread on the base; so 2 full sandwiches. In addition, it can be used to toas/ warm other lunchtime treats.

Highly recommend. Really useful, makes the best toasties and paninis ever, very quickly, but can also be used to grill bacon, sliced chicken, pork etc. I use mine regularly. Very easy to use and cleans with a wipe. It's not one of those gadgets that you use a couple of times and then push to the back of the cupboard.
