I needed this item to run an electrical item I had purchased in the U.S. in the U.K. This item is well constructed and very sturdy. It does exactly what it is supposed to do without fault. I would recommend this item for anyone requiring to step up from 110v to 240v within the range 0VA to 45VA. I would not recommend exceeding this range for safety's sake.

Bought this converter and after a day or so, it started making a noise as soon as I plugged it into the mains. Then all of a sudden my item stopped working, at first I thought it was my item that had acquired a fault but managed to borrow another converter and it worked perfectly. - i would not recommend this item buy something of better quality!

Stopped working after only being used twice. After the second time of use, for 2 very short periods the adapter didn't work again. Tested it using 2 different items and neither worked using the adapter. Went back to using our original and both items worked fine. Brought another adapter from another supplier, rather than go to the hassle of returning it, wouldn't recommend or by again

Converter lasted for a total of 3 switches on and that was it, first turn on and after 45 mins it was red hot and buzzing like a wasps nest, was used for a total of about an hour with an item that needed less than 45 watts and then just died, poorly made product with hideous lifespan..
