A second-hand bargain for building my extra PC box! This Intel core 2 processor E6320 replaces the older Core Duo E6300, and has a series of notable advantages over the latter one. The speed is just great for it's price and if you think it isn't fast enough this processor is highly overclockable. The stability of this core 2 processor is great, never experienced a single type of problem in the past month of testing with Windows 7 and Mac OS X Snow Leopard ("Hackintosh"). The power consumption is great, this processor uses the B2 technology stepping and draws only 45 watt at full load and just only 12 watt on idle. Quite a saving on your energy bill :) The processor installation was very easy. I used an after-market cooler (Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2) to achieve lower temperatures than the supplied Intel cooler and help with potential overclocking. Why should you buy it: * Great value for the money * Great performance, 4MB of cache and 1066 Mhz front bus * Low power consumption * Great stability * Great overclocking Why shouldn't you buy it: *There are faster and more modern core 2, i3, i5, i7 processors on the market, if needed.Read full review
This is a good processor to purchase used. With 4MB cache, when overclocked,it will perform as well as it's bigger brothers. Even though this is the lowest clock speed of the E6xxx series it is better than any Pentium4.
