The Yamaha cdr-hd1300 is a fantastic bit of kit for the price. Sound quality that u would only expect from much higher priced audio. Great as a music server if u don't need the internet side. I wanted a high end home mp3 player but the price of most was absurd. This was perfect as it copies & stores over 180 hours of music without using compression that degrades sound quality. Option of on screen menu helps navigation, lots of inputs & outputs including optical & analog, lovely sound & nice looks round off a very well made product. Only con's I've found are lack of USB input & adding text such as titles is a pain. Small problems at this price level. All in all I can't recommend this product more.

Silent operation unlike CD auto changers that click loudly on changing of CDs whilst this machine, once switched on just enjoy hours & hours of music, a very good machine, the hard drive does hum a little but the music soon over shadows the hum,

One of the best of it's type. Computer CDR drive for reading discs, 10X copying to the 80 gig hard drive, no loss of sound quality. Great for analog recording. Very good at copying music CD's but you must use Audio CDR's only (not computer disk's). Use's Yamaha AMQR system which makes CD easier to read for A standard CD player. Lots of inputs+outputs Analog, optical, coaxial. It's also A top quality CD player,(CD drive can be noisy). On the downside entering CD text is serious pain.
