I've bought 2 of this "new-other" Hitachi HDD just for making backup with using an orico trayles caddy. The description said 5400 rpm but they are actually better, 7200rpm. My computer has 2 caviar black 500 but this Hitachi is quite faster despite the price reaching an average (tested on all the surface) of 138MB/s, tested with "disk" utility on Linux Mint with ext4 FS. I would buy it again in the future.
