Every aspect has been thought through-this thing really works! With the "Ball" you can clean round corners without moving your feet and the slimmer front means you can get in under low furnishings.The best bit is the power! The carpets hair stands on end to the extent that ,like cutting grass , you can see where you have been! We chose the "Animal" version which has a small rotating brush head attachable to the detachable tubing ,driven by the suction - this also works well, for example, in awkward corners ,under very low furniture and excellently on our velour suite which ,like the carpet shows where it's pile has been lifted. Gripes? Just one . Like our older Dyson, when you detach the suction tube to use it as a hand held device the last 80cm or so is rigid which makes using the attachments (themselves very functional) rather cumbersome in a tight corner.I feel it would be better if the tools were attached to a tube that was entirely flexible or at least the last 50cmRead full review
Seems a good product. Works well, plenty of accessories. The ball takes a bit of getting used to, but does make the machine easier to manoeuvre once you get used to it. A couple of drawbacks - one on Dysons generally, the other on this product: You may not have to change the bag on a Dyson, because there isn't one. However, you have still got to get the dust from the machine to your bin and the time you have to spend emptying out a Dyson dust container (and as often as not cleaning it out with soap and water) and the fact that the dust is not in a handy disposable bag is not much of an advantage in my book. This model has a plug in and clip on main set of brushes at the front. This looks a great deal flimsier than the DC04 I had previously. It works well enough, but I do not expect it to last as long as the DC04 did.Read full review
Bought to replace an old DC07. The ball took a little bit of getting used to but steers pretty well now have got used to it, easier to manouver than old dyson and gets closer to edges. Vacuums like only a Dyson can, Deals with all the dog hair that 4 newfoundlands can produce :-) Only minor niggle is that when handle parked upright there is less of a positive lock than older model. 5 year warranty always a bonus.
Wow Michael this is awesome. I have yet to buy a new vacuum cleaner, but I have read about this new technology which was featured along with it’s inventor James Dyson in Readers Digest a few years back. It’s radical design won numerous awards. I really guess you could reinvent the wheel so to speak! Nice review!
A great improvement on my very old Dyson, reaches well under furniture and the ball makes it so easy to manoeuvre. Thoroughly recommended
