I bought these simply because I couldn't find what I really wanted. In a way I was disappointed. They don't appear to have the range my other scarers had. The pir light comes on when the animal is nearer than previously. And without a light it doesn't attract their attention if they can't hear it. However at the moment I can't seem to find what I really want so shall keep them. But I would not recommend them.

Very fast delivery, I only put the batteries in and my dogs ears twitched and he walked off and he's got bad hearing so hoping it keeps the unwanted guests away. My only problem is: the screws on the back covering the battery compartment wont screw all the way in. All in all a very good seller and I recommend, thank you 😊

Works A Treat
This is the second one that I've bought, I purchased the first after trying all sorts of repellent sprays in my border. It worked immediately, no more messes from neighbourhood cats ( I'm a cat lover, by the way, but hate my lovely garden being used as a giant litter tray). There is a second border running parallel to where my friend parks his car when visiting, and this was still being used as a litter tray. I finally realised that my friend's car position was blocking the signal from the cat repeller. So I've just purchased my second one. Works on some cats but not all
This Pestbye version 2 is straightforward to use. The only minimal assembly required is the ground stake if you're setting it into the ground. Stick the batteries in and that's it. No messing around with dials like on the V1. Does it work? Well, like the version 1 that it replaced, it seems to work on some cats (which is what it was bought for). Some felines go to great lengths to avoid them, others will happily walk casually past them without batting an eyelid. Neither version 1 or 2 has even the slightest effect on the foxes that visit our garden. It is not unusual to look out the kitchen window to see a fox asleep on the lawn directly in front of 1 of the sensors. This Pestbye version 2 is straightforward to use. Simple and easy to setup
Read all the reviews before I purchased one for my Mum's garden as the local cats were using her flower beds for a toilet. I have to say that it appears to have done the trick as we see far less of the cat. Unfortunately I may have to purchase another so I can cover another point of access but it should be worth it.

Pestbye Cat Scarer
I have gravel beside my concrete driveway. Three local cats started using the gravel as their toilet. This was unpleasant to look at, and made getting in or out of the car, or cutting the hedge unpleasant. With the ever present danger of cat muck sticking to your shoes and getting tramped into the or car or house. I was fairly sceptical about how well the Mark 2 Cat Scarer would perform. But I can report I have had no problems with cats since I set it up 4 weeks ago. Based on my experience I can thoroughly recommend it. One important point not mentioned anywhere, is that at night a red light glows on the front of the unit when it detects movement. This lets you know the batteries are still working.
