After reading all the reviews on eBay, I decided to buy one of these omlette makers, it arrived by Hermes in a small box .... upon opening it, I discovered that it was VERY small and rather pointless to be honest. Don't get me wrong, It is a very well made gadget and it does make good omlettes, but they are so SMALL and it would be much nicer if the dimensions of the pans were a bit bigger or if there was one larger pan instead of 2 half moon pans with a silly space taking divider ! Would I recommend this product ? ....Only if you have small kids as its only suitable for SMALL MEALS.

I have never been great at making omelettes so purchased this machine. Great device perfect omelette and poached eggs. No mess no having to stand and watch. Perfect every time. So easy to clean. Small enough to store in drawer saving counter space. Excellent price for a machine that lives up to its name.

This thing is just amazing! I bought a Red Copper 5Minute Chef initially, but that exploded the first time I opened the catch and the hot plates melted through the plastic body and burnt my kitchen counter, so I was understandably apprehensive about purchasing another omelette maker. I opted for the VonShef because it was over half the price of the Red Copper, and by far the cheapest on Ebay, so I figured if it's no good it won't matter. Boy am I glad I bought this π. The pan is split into two parts, and both sides have a truly non stick citing. And I do mean non stick. I've tried it out with anything and everything you could imagine, and it has all either come away cleanly, or needed a light scrub with a damp sponge to remove. I made omelettes to begin with - they were so light and airy. I'd recommend 3 large eggs over the 2 pans, as I tried it with 2 eggs in each and the resulting monstrous egg product forced the lid to rise quite high. Since then I have made so much in it, all without using any butter or oil. Pancakes (the fluffiest I've ever had), chicken breast (juicy, and ready so quickly), cake, both gluten and gluten free (wasn't sure it would work, but they were tasty little cakes), 'fried' eggs (no oil, and not watery like poached), reheated samosas, individual cheats pizzas (a very thick slice from a fresh bloomer, top as you like) and actual pizzas (thin-ish pizza dough, top and cook), and so much more. I'm not sure there are words that accurately describe how much I love this. It must be good because even my sister, who has genuinely managed to mess up making a bowl of cereal, has made herself a meal using the VonShef, and has asked for me to get her one for work. They're super easy to clean, though I would recommend cleaning it whilst it is still warm. I've just found it's easier that way. The outer housing remains cool-ish to the touch, and it's on feet so no more burnt counter. I have used it at least twice every day for about two weeks, plus experimented with it, and it's seen use by other people, and it has never exploded, so no burnt me either, yay(!). Seriously, just buy one π±Read full review

Alot better than expected, omelettes after 7-8 mins come out deep and fluffy, i couldn't do this with an open fry pan, i've been putting sliced spam and bacon in to shallow fry that, easy to clean after use, no probs, for Β£13 an absolute gem of a purchase.
