Bought as an electronics repair and project. Dead on arrival as expected - sold as faulty. Three faults found, first made no difference, as reliant on fault further down the main board. Second repair got radio working. Third repair got charger working. Good clean and resprayed front black panels as a full restoration of this classic radio was my ambition. Now looks like new, and works perfectly, using every day when working on DIY projects. Bought purely for electronics fun and restoration challenge. Great result, and so useful when you can only listen to something when working, with added bonus of being an extra charger.
- Why I bought it: I needed one for on-site work as I often work without any company; on my todd. - What I like most about it: its rugged, 240v(ac) and 7v-18v(dc)so two power sources. - What I dislike about it: It's not entirely water proof, only shower proof. - Alternatives: Makita is good and more aesthetically pleasing but given I bought 2nd hand this is by far better value for money. - Whether or not I would buy the product again: So far no probs so as long as I get good service for what I paid circa £33, Yes I would.

bought this for my eldest grandsons birthday as he wanted to use it at work he is absolutely delighted with it
Very Robust Radio - capable of taking heavy building site abuse. Will charge battery when used with mains. Excellent sound quality and volume. Sufficient to be effective even during the noisiest of building operations. Radio on the large and heavy side but this is expected due to robust construction. Only down side is that it does encourage 'sing alongs' which normally receive "Three No's" from the panel.
