If you only need to print the odd page per week (an occasional latter) then this printer might be a good choice. If you will print more than two or three pages per week then you need to budget to soon be buying a toner cartridge that costs as much or slightly more than the printer did itself. The toner cartridge supplied is good for 700 pages (IF you switch on economy print mode AND only cover about 5% of the page with toner. In the real world, you will probably get about 200 pages before you need to spend another from £37 to £65 for a new cartridge. This however is good for 2600 pages as claimed (and again in reality perhaps a little less than 1000 pages in normal mode and if you print full pages of text or any graphics). So cheap if you only print TINY amounts - or do not mind paying upto twice as much for a new cartridge as you paid for the printer in the first place. If you are going to use this in an office - AVOID - it will cost you an absolute fortune to run.Read full review

Spend more money and maybe buy s branded one . I bought this because I was fed up with unreliable ink jet printers so i wanted the reliability of a laser....that didnt work out well.

I've had this printer for about 6 months and it's great I only use for address labels and the odd boarding pass but it's great I don't no where the other reviews get £60 for a toner they cost £17.99 delivered on eBay work fine and last forever . Takes seconds to warm up and print and you even get a starter toner in the box . No wifi but hey ho the computer is next to it also can't remember if you got a cable or not to attach to the computer but eBay have 1000's

This cost less than 5% of my inkjet and I can assure you there's no way I'd get 700 sheets from a single set of toners out of that. One of the bugbears of budget inkjets is that often when one toner goes it means replacing the whole set and just as often that means it's cheaper to buy a brand new printer than just the toner! A rule of thumb in the digital print industry is 'the dearer the printer, the cheaper the price per page'. Assuming I manage only half the quoted output, even the high end machines would struggle to compete with the ppp, especially when you factor in this bargain price included carriage. Mine even came with a decent length of cable. If you read the instructions as directed, it's simplicity itself to set up, took me longer to clear a space on the desk. One note of caution that I couldn't see in the instructions is the paper tray needs to be extended to accommodate A4. This does mean it protrudes beyond the back of the machine but it does come with a cover that clips on to the rear of the device. At 600x600 dpi, print quality is crisp, clear and without a hint of jaggies. Again it rivals the high-end machines in terms of performance per pound.Read full review
