So you're after a brown sink? Good luck with that, turns out the colours of the moment are black, white or a slightly dodgy cream! So, I went for the black. Now it has to be said the quality ain't amazing. It looks ok and when installed correctly, hey it's what I do, it does what it says on the tin. But it's rather a flimsy bit of plastic, feels nice to the touch, looks good, but as an installer I was pretty appalled by the 'flims' of it! I've fitted more than a few Astra Cast sinks and generally they're made form a very hard composite and they're totally rigid. Rest assured this ain't one of them! HOWEVER! You must now balance that against the cost. The average decent Astra cast is 2-300 bucks. This is 70 odd delivered! So here's a top tip, if you're an installer buy it and fit it, once fitted your customer will be delighted. I read astra cast and thought it must good but Looks like a black plastic bucket and marks very easily spend more on a better quality one, I went for granite composite, half as much again but the only way to go if you want a good quality black sink that looks good. Also cost me £14 to return it.

I was surprised at how light this sink was, but once in position it is solid. My only slight negative is that the threaded metal clamp holders are all too short for a normal thickness work top. So could not be used. Instead I have used a heavy duty silicon to fix to the work top. It looks great in the kitchen. Very happy with it.

Pros: The product is very light which makes it easy to fit. The surface seems easy to clean and keep clean. Negatives: Although there are many fixing points on the product, the corners curl up ever so slightly (not obvious without looking closely). A fixing on each corner might rectify this issue.
