I received this log splitter last week, and as a complete novice have used it twice following the easy instructions. It works really well and easily split hardwood logs from a variety of sources with a guide length up to 10" for my stove. It's a bit heavy, but can be moved around flat areas quite easily on it's wheels and a board to get it over any small steps and shed access. I'm glad I bought this one over a very slightly cheaper unbranded model as this has a more powerful electric motor, and seems very robust. Wrightbuyers dispatched my order very quickly, and it was well packaged.

I should have done a little bit more homework before buying this log splitter as it really is not powerful enough to split logs more than 8” diameter which is a shame as it is well made and compact.

Very pleased with this machine it does exactly what the manufacturers say it will do. Easy to use, sturdy and stays where you place it. The wheels make it very portable for storage. We use it on a solid wooden bench to raise it to a good working height and make life easier. We have almost finished making a years supply of split wood with this machine and have done so in just a couple of days work. We would without hesitation recommend this product.

The log splitter is compact and very easy to use. It splits the logs quickly and is quiet. It makes the job so much easier. Having 2 safety controls also make it very safe. I use it both on the floor and also on a stand depending on how many log there are to split.
