This item was bought as a spare for one previously purchased for my handicapped son. He already had the 7inch player, but this being smaller and a little lighter, is ideal for holidays. This will be used as a back up in case of accidents. It means that we can carry round almost his entire video collection, dating back to the 80`s!!!! I have purchased Archos players for him for many years as I find it easy to move the content from one player to another and they are fairly resilient. Just be aware, that if you are copying bought dvd`s & previously videos you may have a problem with "copyright protection". This means that previously recorded items will not play on a different player by "dragging & dropping" unless you physically record them onto the new player. Sorry if I am confusing you, but stay with me for a little longer. This is an older style tablet, manufactured around 2009. Of course, you cannot beat the newer gadgets of today like the Nexus, Samsung, Ipad, etc. for speed and games. However bear in mind you will not got this 250GB storage capacity on the new gadgets, even those that take an expanded storage sd card will not give you anything like this amount of storage. I have managed to put on about 400 videos, granted some of these are only 20 minute children`s TV episodes, and about 200 music & cassette items. So for my purposes, these older players by Archos cannot be beaten. For anyone who is still reading, you can surf the net & check emails etc but this is not my reason for buying it.Read full review
