This year, as a began to preserve especially the raspberries and blackcurrents that always seem to come from the garden all at once, I also decided to break the habit of just using whatever jars were around and ask myself what I liked. What kind of jars are good to handle, nice to look at? How much jam are two people likely to get through in, say, a week? I chose these. I think they're great. Maybe it's the compact shape or the modest size, maybe it's the light touch of tradition, but they suit me. And I'm very glad I asked!

These jars are very stylish, cute and practical. I find the sizes better suited to making jams, jellies and preserves as it avoids having to open a larger quantity for normal use, which might lead to waste. The price is good value and better than store prices. The quality is definitely worth it.
