Not very heat resistant. Used on a metal surface such as top of washing machine it is OK but not on a wooden table. On a hot steam setting the heat went through to dining room table. Not too much of a problem for me as it's old but something to be aware of if your table is newer. I now use it with a thick folded towel underneath.

It gets very hot so you can reduce iron settings but it 'sweats' so you have to hang it to dry after use and dry the surface you had placed it on. Handy mat though.

It is better than a ironing board and can be used on any surface!

I have been looking at buying folding ironing boards for our camping trip, as I have an old vintage iron to heat in a stove. however I stumbled across this! How perfect? It's lightweight, less bulking to pack and well ideal! I am so pleased with it. Thanks!

Ideal for craft & sewing classes as folds quite small. Would be great for holiday travel like in a caravan. Would highly recommend.
