This Manrose extractor fan is not expensive, is solidly constructed, is easy to install and works well. However, we have only had it for a few days so far. Whether it is actually reliable will be proved if it is still functioning in ten years' time. It replaces an Xpelair fan which lasted for just 3 years and 9 months, which is not long enough for a simple domestic device.

The claim for an air flow of 210 m³/h is doubtful. All the fan sizes on offer have the same claim. The power cable had to be replaced to lengthen it. When the cover was removed the earth wire was found inserted into the live connector. The insulation was intact but the wire still had the bare end showing. Cheap and nasty.
