The saw was very easy to assemble. The two parts involved were laid out and banded in the direction for assembly. It runs on standard house current and uses an extension cord but as an occasionally used item this is not an issue. The price for it was way cheaper than a cordless rechargeable or gasoline powered model. It hasn't been used a much, but it worked well when it was.

This pole saw works great, and is very reasonably priced. AND, something you may not think about in owning this pole saw with the Adjustable Head: You don't have to climb up as high on your ladder to trim branches off. With a straight headed saw, you either have to climb high enough to reach the top of the branch you want to cut, or cut it on the side, which can harm the tree. With this saw, you can place a small relief cut on the bottom of the branch, and then go ahead and cut the branch completely off from the top. This was you'll get a clean cut that won't harm the tree, and the branch will likely fall right beneath the tree. These of course, are only my non-professional opinions, which are based on years of homeowner, DIY experience.

on the lightweight side of things which makes it easier to use. Cuts just great but the telescopic head makes all the difference. It allows you to rest the head on the branch and with just a little effort the branch is cut . I had rented a gas power saw and couldn't lift my arms for a few days after, not so with this saw.
