I've over 80 old (very) records. I purchased a machine to copy them to cd's. It works a treat. I have now copied 45 and apart from a few hisses and scratches all is fine. The blank cd's in question have proved to be invaluable. I can now listen to my converted records in the comfort of my armchair. Daughter also has quite a lot of records and no doubt I will be asked to convert them for her. I know where I shall purchase some more blank cd's from. Trevor (danshasco)

Bought Aone as in the past and had good compatibility with domestic cd players but have found that these may not be of the same grade or manufacturing process as all my portable players seem unable to play the audio music recorded on them. Have yet to try on my car player. My hi fi domestic player, a more recent piece of equipment, will play them. Suspect the dye used isn't the same and my older equipment doesn't read the coding on the discs. Will persevere in testing at differing write settings but don't hold up much hope of them being usable for all players... This is why I purchased a small quantity, having a 50 pack of verbatim that have mixed success and writing has to be very slow to work properly. I also have a smaller quantity of Sony discs which are usually ok. As cds are becoming less popular for music in favour of solid state devices it looks like there will be no improvement made in cd quality. The one good point is I don't get coasters... But have to use recorded optical disks on the equipment they will work on.... Not a perfect solution. Read full review
