I was looking for something that covers 'old' and new technology. This seems to be the only option if you want a CD player and streaming music in one system. Whilst more expensive than I was hoping to pay, I'm really pleased. The sound quality is excellent. It manages to fill the room with a full sound, even on low volume. Highs and lows are really clear a defined, irrespective of the source. Setup of the unit was fairly straightforward. The interface on the unit is a little bit awkward, and the phone app doesn't give full control. Its not obvious how to enter the main menu, and I couldn't find it described in the manual either. But I discovered a long press on the menu button brings up a menu. Setting alarms is not described at all in the manual, but a bit of playing around and looking through menus brought it up - its under main menu and Alarms. What I found hardest was getting my netword drive talking to the unit. But that was down to an out of date version of the server system on my ancient drive. I updated the media server (twonky) to the latest version and everything works fine. I have to say that streaming from the network drive is a bit of a pain, taking ages to scroll through. Maybe I need to spend a little time setting up some playlists. :) Again, that's probably more of a criticism of the media server system than this unit per se. The one thing that's a little frustrating is the display whilst playing. Even on the dimmest setting its quite bright - fine for choosing what to play, but a bit bright if you want to go to sleep with the music playing. Overall though, I'm really pleased with this. I am very impressed with the quality of this Auna CD wifi and dab radio, it is very easy to setup all the different parts of the setup you are guided through by the statements on the screen so almost fool-proof. The sound is very acceptable for a product at the price of just over 200.00 not as good as the top brands ie Bose etc but much neater in it's design which will fit in with any decor. I would heartily recommend this German made system which by the way arrived much quicker than items I had bought from UK.

Very good sound and excellent internet reception...found instruction not very explanatory. When saving yr presets...push "P" ensure it says save and not recall. not found correct way to toggle between them, so I select a blank spare slot and push volume button to select, or use back button until i get SAVE presets. once you have yr station playing press P and select spare number, then push the volume button and hold until it says saved and shows you the preset number. Liked the front brown facia but not keen on the walnut case as it is just imitation vinyl and not wood. We suffer from poor FM and almost nil DAB so an Internet radio was the only way to go.
