I was swayed to purchase this from a friend and I am not disappointed. I've tried every manual mop and given up - they break and do not clean efficiently - really hard work to be honest rinsing out and reapplying more cleaning product. Frustrated with the old laborious methods I bit the bullet and got this Karcher. WOW - what a difference, you have a clean product rinse container at the front and the dirty collecting one at the rear. So you don't have to keep squeezing and changing mid flow of cleaning. Yes the dirty container does fill up and this must be emptied immediately but I have a large 4 bed house and it almost cleans the whole of my downstairs without an "empty" break. It's fun to use as it motors along with easy so no hard pushing. For stubborn marks just keep it in one place and let the rotating rollers do the work. Lovely shine on my floors after use as it appears to buff also. Yes it does take approx. 3 minutes to set up but there's no stopping then and again I say its so much fun to use and the result - beautifully clean shiny floors.Read full review

the Karcher FC5 is a fantastic idea - BUT. This is our second machine because the first stopped working completely after 18months. Check on line before you decide to buy, because despite being from a good brand, certian 'value engineering' shortcuts appear to have been included that could cause an inbuilt short life expectancy. Work out if the price of an extended warrnty still maked it the product for you

Simple to use. Makes cleaning large floor area quick and easy. Well made as you would expect from a Karcher product.

This machine makes regular cleaning of hard floors easy and gives great results. I have a privately printed vinyl floor that has a mottled surface that no mop seems to be able to get into the crevices. This device is much better. It seems safe to use on wood because it leaves it damp and no sloshing around with buckets is involved. It is great for corners. Gets right to the edge. I imagine on a large area of floor it will be a bit Turing as you spend your time pulling the thing back whilst the rollers are trying to push it forward.

It does a reasonable job of wiping the floor, nothing spectacular. The rollers get dirty very fast - you need more than 1 set. It doesn't leave too much water on the floor and is quicker than mopping. But it doesn't scrub or clean grout. Haven't had it long enough to know if it is reliable or durable. Fairly easy to empty.
