Excellent little camera. Great for my commute to and from work

The recorder is small and robust. It is easy to use and the image/sound quality is satisfactory. However, it is not waterproof and I couldn't attach it to my cycling helmet. I eventually attached it using rubber bands and cable ties. Starting and stopping recording with it in position (on my head) is not easy. I need to start it recording before putting my helmet on.

This was great value and a good bit of tech. USB charging is fast and with power slider up and on then press record and you're away... Initially I mounted it on my bike helmet and found that getting the angle right was extremely difficult - the result being pictures of the sky, ground and all around. You see one has to move the head when riding a bike. I then mounted it on the handle bars and all was well. Getting the correct angle was easy and the picture results were surprisingly very good. The sound pick up was okay but struggled to collect noise and talk from further away [picked up my grunts/yelps on a severe hill, but the others were significantly fainter.] The pictures in traffic were very good giving a great feel of speed and bad driving captured on cam'. 4 stars due to helmet mounting and sound.Read full review
Would I recommend it to a friend? I already have! I started recording the 'cagers' antics with a Canon A490, but vibration killed the lens assembly, then I tried a Vivitar 'waterproof' camcorder, again vibration killed it, then I found a Veho Atom. Having tried it in the helmet I decided an external camera was still required, so I bought the slightly larger Muvi VCC-003, and the matching waterproof housing, it's doing stirling service on the bike. The battery life is good (better than the Atom) enabling me to record the commute to and from work, and it's simple to use, for simple VFM its pretty unbeatable!
I originally bought this to record my car journeys mainly due to a near miss through no fault of my own! The unit itself is quite robust and very simple to use, i get around 1.5 hours use before the battery begins to wain or the 2gb micro sd card becomes full. For the money it's good value but if you are thinking of trying to record registration marks on the move forget it, It will however allow you to see quite clearly any registration marks of slow moving or stationary vehicles. All in all a great little camera with quite a good quality resolution for recording cycle, motorcycle, car or even walking events from a very neat compact little camera, for the money it's good but dont expect HD resolution.
