Paired up out of the box but with issues, A good lightweight pair of walkie talkies, talk to each other, but not communicating with other PMR sets out of the box. Will need to dig out my copy of the programming software and communication cable to to find out what the original channel settings are and reset them.

I wanted to purchase a pair of walkie talkies for my children, and these are great! Sturdy and easy to use, my 3 and 5 year old love them! The sound is clear, they have only gone so far as one in the front of the house upstairs and one at the bottom of the garden, I'm sure you could go alot further and still have crisp sound. The only thing I would say is that the USB charger could be a pain for someone who only has one USB plug, as first charge takes 3 hours! I had to search around for a second USB plug so I could charge both at the same time. A phone charger will do, or PC or games console (I think as I haven't tried the latter two) as there aren't any supplied. Even with this in mind, I would still totally recommend these walkie talkies.

I really like these. They are light weight comfortable and loud/clear. The only downside to the radios are that the charging blocks are cheaply made and they have a very thin wire with a USB port at the end. Not what I would normally expect from a pair of radios. For the overall review they are a perfect bit of kit. I forgot to mention the very nice ear piece what is good quality. Is it lightweight? (Yes) Is the signal clear? (Yes) Is it easy to use? These handset are cheap and so wasn't expecting much but they are definitely worth buying as I've found them to be just as good or better than more expensive handsets. It is worth buying a lead to link them to your PC though so you can reprogram the legal UK channels into your handset, you will also need to download a free program called "Chirp" to use to link them. Very easy to do and there are lots of YouTube vids explaining what to do.
