I have bought several of these cell phones for family and it was also my very first smart phone. It has a great layout and is easy to use. The touch screen is sensitive and responsive and the keyboard is spacy. It has external storage microSD, microSDHC, microSDXC up to 128 GB and has a nice feel to it. The only problem is some apps will only run from the internal memory and this quickly runs out of space. The screen quality is also a little bland but for the price I'll keep coming back.

This is an Android phone using version 4.2. All phones using this system work in the same way, but there are differences in the hardware. This phone has a bezel-less design, which means the buttons at the bottom are incorporated in the screen. This means the physical size can be reduced. The model I received may not be representative of the model as a whole. I took about three hours to get the wi-fi logged on. It is very difficult to enter passwords and have them accepted. Another issue was low volume. You would not hear it in a noisy environment. The internal storage is only 4GB with 1GB of RAM. It takes a Standard size SIM card (also called mini). I have not carried out any research into the 3G performance. In short, this is a cheaper version of the Samsung Galaxy S2.

Love this phone. It is easy to use, responsive,7 homescreens to save all my most used apps and programmes. Downloading from the Android market is a breeze. Love the email programme that comes with the phone - can use with multiple accounts - so much better than on my previous Nokia 5230 phone. The display screen is fantastic - clear, crisp. Love the messaging programme which groups conversations together for each contact, so you don't have to search through a long list of messages to find an old one. The browser allows you to have multiple pages open - I had to download Opera with my Nokia which had a very basic browser. I haven't yet used he camera much, but so far it is looking good - great quality pictures. I haven't used the video camera function yet. I could on, but I will stop there. I am still exploring the various functions and programmes On the down side, battery life is very short if you keep background syncing on, so I tend to switch this off and turn it on when I need to download stuff. Also, I have set my phone to sync only on demand. Still the battery runs down quite quickly, so you do need to charge it often. But, that's a small inconvenience.Read full review
Lets start with dislike since it's much more specific. The battery life of this phone is not quite as I expect from an high-end phone, in contrast to iPhone 4's battery life, it got all the good things you'd like of a high end smart phone, such as high aluminium quality build, large screen and solid feel, but the battery is simply not enough. Using it normally with all on, 3G & wireless with auto-sync, lowest possible brightness, low time-out except GPS turned off, it doesn't last all 24 hours. But if you fiddle with the settings dynamically, i.e. using the 3G, auto-sync etc. will extend the battery life. The good thing about this phone, you can buy a spare battery which you can change but I have yet to try to open the battery compartment since I read reviews that, once the battery lid is opened, which was said tricky to do, closing the lid back doesn't give a nice flushed fit back. So I don't dare to open it and just let it be. Overall, the phone is an awesome Android phone. Compared to the feel of the aluminium with the plastic feel of the Nexus S, HTC Desire HD has that nice expensive touch to it.Read full review
Great little phone for the price i paid which was under 20 pounds, it has an Amoled screen so better than most budget phones of today , processor speed is good and data roaming works well considering this is a 6 year old device , only downsides firstly you need an SD card if you want to download as the internal memory is pathetic only 100mb secondly you cant download apps like Yahoo or Whatsapp as this devices android system is on 2.2 and not up-gradable unless you root the device , but all in all a way better device than its competitors of today such as the awful Alcatel Pixi or Galaxy Young , well worth the money and also it has a 5mp camera and 720p hd recording so very good for its age.
