i needed a drill as i had a cheap budget one a 24v 1.5 amp drill which had a problem slow and battery wouldnt hold charge, i did my research on the internet looked at youtube videos and chatted with mates who knew diy. They mentioned get the one with a brushless motor as they better power wise and durablily. This led me to look at various drills from bosch, de walt, stanley, now i was leaning at the bosch ec 18 v 6,0 amp at a about £100 cheaper than the hitachi, however i looked at the youtube review and the bosch was slow in drilling time and therefore back to looking at other makes. This then led me to the hitachi, i heard good reviews of them, and decided to take the plunge. I then chose this model it got 2 6.0 amp power battery and a fst charger which charges the battery to full to 38 mins. Most of the chargers at other brands cvharge around a hour, The drill is a high quality item it has a all metal gearing designed to be more durable, and a clever safety feauture called Rcd, basically if the drill is struggling it will stop and that save you damaging your wrist. The drill has led light which comes on when you start the drill and stays on for around 30 secs which is good, It also shows your battery monitor, The charger is good quality and has a fan to assist in cooling the battery when charging fast, the drill has a driver and hammer mode a combi drill and has the large grab handle included with the drill to work safely. price wise i shopped around and this was the cheapest and delivery was fast and withing 30 days of purchase you can register with hitachi for a 3 year warranty All in all highly recommendedRead full review

Excellent drill eats through concrete with great ease very pleased Bit heavy but that’s because it’s high quality not too pleased about the battery indicator but may be because I’m not used to that design it different from other hikoki tools in that there is no button to press your turn on the drill and the lights come on automatically I would recommend this drill

iam very pleased with the hitachi twin set I purchased, its the bees knees, all the staying power you could ever want that lasts& lasts & quick recharge one bad point when you use the combi drill or impact driver! the lights that come on ! dont go off when you have finished what ever your doing! i think in a kit of this standard this is this is an over looked problem! i have to slide off the battery every time its used. david phillips carpenter.
