First Sat Nav so decided to e bay a good second hand brand name. This came with accessories and is easy to use, very clear display but like all others, it is limited by battery power of some 2 hours. So,you must ensure you have a car charger for long journeys. Also check that it is a recent model as to update this one will cost you £50 which is what I paid for it.That said it does what it's suppose too and up dates may not be an issue for you as most places stay the same. Highly recommend this make and model, and I prefer this over other top brands.
Overall a very good product the only problems I have had was when I updated the map which was supposed to be current a junction on the A12 which I pass regularly and has been in place for some time was not shown. The speed camera is very good but on occasions it gets the speed wrong, in some places were the road speed is 40 it pings and says its 30 although the speed indicator shows 40. Once charged it runs for up to 3hours which is good. Overall I am quite happy
The Garmin 265WT is an older unit, but still has many features that the new cheaper Garmins don't have. The only problem I have encountered is the routing software can sometimes take the wrong route but that happens with all satnavs not just this one.
It is fast, accurate and simple to use. Some fancy features are missing but most of us (common drivers and occasional travelers) don't need them. Bottom line, you get affordable and well rounded product.
allways thought I needed a sat nav, this one is brilliant,so much information available off it/easy to read/directions spot on far better than having to read a map all the while.I found the garmin website a bit of a nightmare regarding the 60day update.bluetooth connection is very good.great product...
