The first fan we purchased considerably increased the amount of heat in our room coming from our Burley Log Burning Stove situated in our existing Ingle-Nook fireplace. After we had determined this and the fact that it was extremely quiet we decided to purchase a second one which has now doubled the airflow into the room. We have proved this as the register plate where the flue exits into the old chimney is now relatively cool compared with time before we purchased the fans, proving that the heats is now where it is required, within the room, rather that dissipating up the chimney. We do feel however, that it is still rather pricy compared with other fan units available, despite the addition of an overheat feature (a bimetal strip that slightly tilts the fan off the stove) reducing the heat transmission and protecting the motor. Taking into account obvious development costs, I would have thought that as they are now sold in quantity, the unit could be priced nearer to £50.00 which I am sure would boost salesRead full review

Was so excited to get this as had lived with a Hunter log burner that was only any good if you sat near it. Got this fan based on all the excellent reviews. After 3hrs use it was not circulating warm air around room at all and room stil chilly. So disappointing as love a log burner.

Excellent piece of equipment, this 3 propeller version is far better in my opinion than the 4 props, it really pushes the heat out around the house. I had a cheap fan and it failed after a few months, I can see the build quality of this Variant 111 is superb. All I advise is place the fan away from the chimney stack, to much heat will damage any fan motor, I was told by the manufacturer per my photo this is the ideal position.

Purchased this as a Christmas present for my wee sis in her 17th century cottage complete with woodburner stove. Did wonder how effective it would be and concerned that it may be noisy. Shouldn't have worried. She's delighted with it. Have now witnessed it working and it's great.

More than twice as expensive as many other fans. Is supposed to be class leading in terms of cubic feet of air it shifts yet my thermostat at the other end of the room shows no more increase in temperature or the time in which the temperature rises than before when it was just the log burner. Been a complete waste of £70.
