This is a really good quality hedge cutter that does everything that it is claimed to do. It can be used for long periods without making the arms ache due to its light weight and cuts amazingly well even on thick stemmed foliage. The rotating handle is a plus feature that makes the cutting of hedges, shrubs, etc, much easier, even in difficult to reach places, as one can cut in more positions than is possible with a normal type hedge cutter. All in all an amazing piece of kit that I would recommend to anyone.

Light weight and compact for a swivel handle design but this is achieved by using rather thin blades. Measured thickness of each blade is 1.6mm compared to 2.3mm for a similar Bosch trimmer. Vonhaus teeth are broader than Bosch which may make up for thinness but also results in narrower gaps for cutting into foliage, a noticeable drawback. Draws less current under no load compared to the rated 700w Bosch in spite of a claimed larger power of 710w. Noisy to operate but reasonable for its very competitive price and will suit smaller gardens and folks who perhaps aren't super fit at lifting.

A very decent tool. The blade is a few cenimetres longer than stated (most makes are shorter than claimed) taken together with weight (which appears to include the cable) and the handle design, means that the total reach is very good. The unit is quieter than expected, meaning ear defenders are not absolutely essential - in my opinion. Comes with 10 metres of cable. You should be aware that, despite the claims and in common with other brands, the unit cannot comfortably cope with branches much more than a centimetre in diameter and less than that if there are are lot of them in one swathe.
