This is perfect, I have a AKG Perception 220 that fits. I got the best buy out of anyone so far. I gotta brag about it. I paid only 20 bucks for the case. Its an excellent way to respect a condenser microphone. I want to make sure I have the microphone for ever how long its life span is. AKG is to me the highest quality. I love there low impedance stage, vocal microphones. I love the brand. And my 220 is now in a safe place.

This particular AKG 414 is a bit darker sounding than previous 414's I've used top end is there, but not harsh - it's just beautiful in front of an acoustic guitar mixed with a direct peizo output. The sound on female vocals is smooth and warm, requires little no EQ depending on your performer. It was fed into a Focusrite Octapre Dynamic into MOTU DP6. The shock mount threads were stripped on this, which I wasn't too happy about as it wasn't mentioned in the sale, but the price was very good and I can repair the problem. All in all I rate this mic very highly and it should be considered for any studio regardless of size.
Great mic. Love the construction. Light weigh does not always mean quality. This mic is quality construction with great sound for the money!
