We live in a village and rely on wood burning to supplement our heating. Yes, we do get smoke and therefore pollution from our chimney and I roast potatoes in our stove. Yes last month, January, the temperature has barely risen above 2c so our newly acquired ecofan has helped raise the level of our comfort of our house. Very impressed with the fan and its price.

Nothing against the build quality. We have a very small living room and I thought this would have a great impact on heat distribution. The reality is, it has no impact at all. It works as it should but doesn't improve the heat distribution. Personally, I would waste your money on one of these types of fans

Cost £100 less than market leading (Canadian) product so good value - I've had them both working on the same stove to see the difference and so far they seem pretty similar. The VH makes a little more noise at full pelt, and my local stove dealer has questioned longevity (well with his costing £100 more, he would say that wouldn't he) - we'll have to wait and see.

These really make a difference, my last one packed up last week and you could feel the how the heat was stuck around the fire place. I chose this one because of the three propellers (makes it more balanced ) so when it started it was so quite but pushed more heat out as well. I'm well happy and warm too

I am sure that this little fan has sent warm air into my room. My woodburner is set in an old inglenook fire place so some of the heat goes up the chimney but since this has been in place I am sure the room is warmer. Great little fan looks fab on the fire and good value for money
