This is my second Casio FH20 and I bought it as a back up for my original which is still great but about ten years old . I need the camera for my work . ( Teaching golf) for which the high movie frame rate is ideal . Set at 210 frames per second at usually 1600th/sec shutter speed it gives Crystal clear sharp images and in a typical golf swing will give you about 400 points of reference.it's wide angled and long focus lens means that I can get a head on golf swing capturing club head as well standing only maybe 8 feet away from my pupil .An older model now about ten years old but still holds it's own if you require some stunning high speed slow motion movie. Very simple to use with standard SD card . Great value.

....but it drains good quality batteries after just a few day's use. To be fair, the camera I bought is second hand so perhaps it's faulty.

I researched to find a camera I could afford that was versatile, had manual settings, created RAW files, took standard batteries and was friendly to use. This camera ticked all my boxes; then I saw it was being being replaced by the FX 25 so I watched every day as the price dropped then made my purchase at half the price of the new model. I have had the camera for a few months now and have taken some beautiful pictures especially snow scenes. This cameras claim to fame is its ultra fast video (1000fps), 720p HD and 40 fps still modes, to make these work you need a cat 6 SDHC card at least, I use cat 10 and it does all of these amazing things with ease. Ignore the tricks and you have a very good value bridge camera wit 20 x zoom and lovely quality pictures.
Very pleased with this purchase overall. Acquired this camera for the high speed video feature to use for golf swings to slow them down enough to see faults. For this purpose the Casio is perfect. The only downside of the camera is that it is very poor under low light conditions. In the evenings under fluorescent lighting the lens struggles to pick up the imagery due to this. This would be the only negative point and overall the Casio is well worth the money for a lightweight high speed machine in its price range.
This camera is not one of your run of the mill digital compacty cameras with a 9MPixel sensor. The bonus is the 1000 fps video and 40fps still. For teaching sports and pastimes such as golf, raquet sports and snooker, this camera is perfect. 1000fps can identify flaws invisible to the trainer. Although other Casio cameras perform faster still frames per second, but the 1000 fps video is the advantage here.
