This item was classed as refurbished but it had no marks or signs of use. The handbook was in mint condition although the external box was somewhat damaged or shopsoiled. The remote was clean with no signs of wear or use. Very easy to set up and very simple to operate. Screen interface is excellent. Output is by scart so your TV would have to have a scart input, many new TVs don't. Only the power lead was supplied so you would need a scart cable. The remote has all the usual buttons but the size and labelling are quite small and I personally had difficulty in reading the typeface although it is easy to get used to that. All Freeview channels are supported. You can go into standby although it seems the machine goes into standby if it is not used for some time, probably a power saving option. It rapidly wakes up and screen messages tell you the progress, just a few moments. Altogether this item was a bargain and is in regular use. Could not get it to work. Called an aerial fitter and TV Tuner but he said it was not working properly. I am a pensioner and was not able to return this item. I purchased a new digital recorder which works really well. Am really annoyed.

Although the unit has been reconditioned, you would think it was a new unit. good storage and easy to use, would definitely recommend one.
