We have had two pair of these scissors for a number of years now and we have found them to be comfortable to use and they stay sharp. They have the added advantage that you can easily separate the two blade for thorough cleaning. You simply open them so that the two blades are at 90 degrees to one another and the blades separate via a simple key hole arrangement. Conventional scissors can harbour germs and bacteria in the hinge area. When our last pair of conventional kitchen scissors started to show it was time for them to be replaced it was a no brainer, their replacement had to be another pair of OXO scissors.
