I previously didn't use a mobile phone very much & didn't really text. The last few phones I've had have been my son & daughter-in-law's old phones which didn't hold their charge for very long. I decided I wanted to choose my own phone that I was happy with & after a lot of research I knew I didn't want just a touch screen phone or one with a qwerty keyboard as the keys are just too small, so the Nokia C3-01 seemed to be the ideal compromise. Unlike the younger generation, I am not interested in using my mobile for internet as I have my laptop for that & I am not interested in using Facebook or Twitter so that certainly helps with battery life. I have now had my phone for 2 months & really love it & think it's the best choice I made as I am texting on a regular basis which I have found really easy with the larger keys. I also like the touch screen for all the other features such as calendar which I use to remind me of all my appointments & birthdays etc. My only problem was when I first got the phone, I was unable to remove the back cover to put the battery & sim card in & ended up badly spraining both thumbs trying to push it off. After checking on the internet, I wasn't the only person who had the same problem - I eventually had to carefully prise the back cover off with a knife !! So all in all, apart from that one problem, I love this phone - it's the best phone I've had so far.Read full review
