I inadvertently reviewed the wrong item earlier today. I reviewed the Ryobi pole saw which I also purchased. This saw is as good as the pole saw in performance and features. Both are workhorses. Charge the battery and go find some wood to cut.

Very good small job cutting. Convenient carry around (no cords). Can share battery with other Ryobi 18v tools... Could be better if battery/motor was not so lob-sided, and the motor speed faster. The 2-handed cutting method (safety) does not work well when you are cutting up a bunch of fallen branches... you hold the branch in on hand, then have to work the saw in other hand. The motor/battery torques to the left... tiring out your wrist. Better design would be handle on top, and battery in back.

Well built, looks OK for a battery powered tool. Does not compare to a gas saw though. Good for light trimming. Nice and light. I assume that I will like it more when I keep in mind it's limitations.

I have extra 18V batteries from my other Ryobi tools, so I only needed the 10" chainsaw itself. It is light easy to handle and cuts ok , about 12 seconds to cut through an 8" diameter pine log. The nice part is , you can go right to work and not have to mix gas and get a gas powered saw running. I have an AC powered corded Ryobi saw for bigger jobs, but the battery powered one is a great second saw to have. The saw I got on E bay was used, but in real nice condition. Better than I expected.

So awesome. Works great. Had a few widow makers fall in the back yard and this little saw made clean up easy. It will do tough jobs like a tree trunk but its slow going. Light and easy to handle. No awkward pull string just plug in your battery.
