If you are not fussy about not having USB Type-C, this is your best bet! The quality of the packaging and the product are excellent! This enclosure is different from what I have had so far as it opens through sliding which I find much easier and convenient to have. The overall build quality and feels are premium and the speed are amazing. The UASP chip inside is more stable than ASMedia's ones. As for the speeds - with my Crucial BX100 250GB it maxes out the hardware throughput of the SSD, so... I guess I can easily say it is pretty amazing out of a 8.20£ enclosure.

This caddy is far better quality than some of the others I have used. Its easy to fit your hard drive into the case and with the provided sponge pads, it stops the Hdd from rattling about. One good point I think I ought to mention, is the fact of the circuit board being covered, which makes it far less likely to be affected by static when you are fitting or removing a drive. On the down side is just that I dont like the case USB connector, it is one that has given me problems in the past and I think it is about the only weak point of the caddy, so care should be taken with it, maybe a full sized usb port would be better. I brought this point up due to past experience with the same type of connector on a USB hub and also other caddys that have all ended up scrapped.
