This DVD was not what it said a guide to buying a narrowboat it give no information about buying a narrowboat. Considering this DVD retail at £15 it was poorly edited some of the information on the DVD was incorrect. I only paid five pound for his DVD it was certainly worth watching there was some good useful information on the DVD. A guide to buying a narrowboat definitely not. It is worth five pounds of anyone's money if you are considering buying a boat.
A good dvd covering the basics of owning a narrowboat, talks about moorings, toilet, heating and all the other things you need to know before buying your first boat.
Clearly structured, and very helpful to us as we start looking into buying a narrowboat. I didn't know the Resident Boat Owners' Associaton existed, and the section with their representative was particularly helpful. It was instructive to hear about the options of permanent cruising, residential and non-residential moorings. Lots of useful snippets - it was interesting to find out what the terms Traditional, Semi-Traditional and Cruiser mean, and to learn the dangers of not having a full tank of diesel when the boat is laid up for winter, for example. Very watchable. I'd have liked a bit more detail about the various expenses involved (though there was reference to this aspect).
This DVD contains loads of useful tips with clear explanations & visual techniques. Wish it would hve been longer though!!! Would Recommend.
