You’re probably reviewing what saw to buy just like I did for weeks. I’m glad I did my homework and hands down this is a mean machine and I recommend buying Husqvarna. It shipped to me in about 5 days, it starts easy and cuts great. I’m very happy with it and the price was good as well.

well; I opened the box and first impression....WOW amazing. I read the entire manual, did everything as per recommendations, started it up and cut down my first tree. went through it like butter. I was stunned at the power. As I continued to cut down trees (i live in Puerto Rico so we just went through a hurricane) I could see that the bottom half of the bar was discoloring. Upon closer insepction it was burnt. I checked the ooil level for the chain and it was fine. continued and it kept getting worse and worse. Finds out after some research these have a defect with the oil system for the chain. Now i have a monster chainsaw that will be damaged shortly. Buy another brand. Although extremely powerful, this is not what I expect when spending this amount to money. very disappointing for me.

Quality saw..starts extremely easy..third pull out of the box. I have always had Stihls and have ALWAYS had issues with starting them. So far the Husqvarna has no such issues. This saw came with a 24 inch bar. I limbed out a 28 inch oak as my first task..performed well but was a bit underpowered for the 24 inch bar..I picked up a 20" and this cuts much better.

The refurbished chainsaw came with a new chain and bar but the powerhead looks pretty well used (lots of scuffs, scrapes, and tool marks). Still a pretty good deal considering the price difference--no regrets about buying refurbished. Runs great and gets the job done. Love the extra power over the 450 Rancher. Honestly, my biggest complaint isn't the tool's fault: the 24" bar is overkill for most tasks and it throws off the balance of the saw (too front heavy). I ended up buying a 20" bar and chain to go with this saw and find that to be a much better fit. This saw in only just powerful enough run a 24" bar. But with a 20" bar this saw is perfectly balanced and has power/torque to spare.

This is my second Husqvarna chainsaw. Very happy with this one also. I like the adjustable chain oiler. I run more oil during the summer cutting firewood. I replaced the chain right away with a better quality one, but most new saws are like that. I will only use this saw for larger trees. So far it has exceeded my expectations. Starts right up. Smooth idle. No bogging out at all. A little nose heavy but I don't need to push on it at all. Great saw.
