I had a few blocks to cut around a new drainage sink in my block paving, as I only had less than 20 cuts to make I did not want to spend a lot of money on an expensive stand. I finished the job using the stand and if you only have a small amount of cutting to do I suppose you could say the stand was adequate, but if you intend to use the stand often best go for something better made.

Its fairly sturdy although the corner piece that sits at the front is pretty pointless so i just took it off. the instructions were really bad although i figured it out by myself. i would also prefer a better tightening mechanism for the back clamp you have to turn some Allen bolts would have been nicer to have something like wing nuts so you can quickly unlock and lock it. if you are cutting metal with one of those multi material blades be sure to secure the piece of metal in the provided clamping mechanism and start off slowly! i didnt clamp something in and it pretty much threw it out of the clamp thing. Seems fairly sturdy does the job alright and for the money it was a good purchase, now i can actually use my 9" grinder more regularly instead of it being sat doing nothing it has a new purpose now. previously i got it for 1 job and after that it barely got used but now with this stand its going to make a nice chop saw in summary its pretty good it could be better but for the money it really is great valueRead full review

Bought to cut so angle iron, put it together but it's so flimsy poor quality I didn't even use it,looking at the movement on pivot arm it would be anything but accurate, don't think you would get two cuts the same.

At £37 pounds the tool is good value for money. It is not the the most finely engineered product but is good for general use. The pivot has a fair bit of slack which results in the grinder 'leaning over" slightly when pressure is applied to cut the material. This joint could do with being a bit tighter. Having said that I was happy with its general use and would recommend it to anyone.

1. Base plate metal is too thin and tends to warp. 2. Hinge has too much slop to make a straight cut Cheap quality, not worth the money.
