The Canon Sure Shot AF-7s is a fully automatic, compact 35mm film camera. It has an autofocus 35mm f3.8 lens which is surprisingly sharp. Produced in 2000 by Canon, this entry level compact features an extra large viewfinder to allow easy composition. It also has the option to switch the flash off, force it on or remain fully auto. The self timer also has these three flash modes. The camera is improved from its predecessor the AF-7 by having a faster lens & more flash modes. It also benefits from an LCD panel which displays the battery capacity, exposure number & flash mode. The film is automatically wound on after each shot & at the end of the roll. All in all this is a great little pocket camera for those who shoot film. The only improvements which could be added I feel are a focus lock for tricky subjects & more film speed modes, as the camera doesn't fully utilise the DX system, simply selecting 'fast' or 'slow' films. If you are used to tiny digital compacts you may find the body a bit chunky as well.Read full review
