This amp paks a real punch for its tiny size. The one mini fender speaker, has overdive tone and volume , The Overdrive works far to well on my guitar. The sound is perect for practicing almost anywhere. It is never to loud no matter how much you crank it up. Fits perfectly in your guitar case so if you get the itch to play you can anywhere, inexpensive and it looks cool has that retro vibe to it..I'd buy another if i had another guitar..

I will say it works for a simple speaker, but, it is very toy like and for the price I expected more. It also has a hum to it that is even worst using ear buds. I tried to use a distortion peddle and only got a high pitched scream when I gave it power. Also using a 9v power cord wouldn't work either. Only works with a battery. For a kid, OK, for an adult, not so much.

I thought it was going to be much bigger, infact...Large...But that ones one me I guess, it says "mini". I love it though! Very great for traveling and gigs, very loud great acoustics....Nice battery life so far.... One non perk would be that after a little while of usage it starts to static, so that sucks! But overall a very god amp for the size. it's probably about 6 inches long, and 4 inches wide something like that...Good amp though...

The Fender Mini Tonemaster guitar amp has surprising tones. You won't get a lot of low end due to the size of the drivers. The distortion is more suited to single coil pups and sounds pretty good. I am going to take a look at the clipping circuit and see if I can clean it up at all(slightly muddy). I am also going to mod mine by installing a GFS delay modboard in it. That way, the mini amp will have some retro analog delay to dial in. Overall, a neat and decent sounding mini amp. Louder than you would expect. My girlfriend loves the way it looks. Now I can leave a guitar amp right out on the end table without it being a nuisance. lol. Ryan Rister of KelliSaid.
This is a great guitar amplifier for the price. It would be even better if it had Reverb functionality and a Line Out option that wasn't necessarily only for MP3, but for the price it's a pretty good deal. I'd recommend it for both beginners as well as more experienced guitarists who just need something small and compact for practice purposes especially given that it does have an output jack for headphones (and it accepts the standard 1/4" input plug). Just like the good ole days did.
